A history of being on the right track

A little About Me…

Wondering where would life take you in this new country? Worried if your dream of working and staying in Canada would come true? Anxious for the future and life after graduation? YES, I have been there and felt your pain.

Coming to Canada I had three wishes:  First to successfully complete my education. Second, to find a full-time career after graduation and third to become Canadian Citizen.  My first wish was already in progress. However, the closer I came to graduating the more anxious I was about whether I would get a job right after graduation. Because my whole future revolves around it. To become Canadian and to have a Canadian passport I needed to find a job. Becoming a Canadian was not only to live in Canada freely and continue my grad school as a local student and all other citizen’s benefit but also to travel free and safe. Explore the possibilities and opportunities in the world with no or very little restrictions and limitation.

It was a long and hard journey, but with the help of the right people and resources, I am exactly where I am supposed to be. Today I am proud to say that I am a Canadian. And holding a Canadian passport is holding a royal Passport. I have noticed a huge difference in the treatment while traveling with a Canadian passport.

Therefore, learning from my experiences and with the knowledge of all the right processes,  people, and resources, I decided to help and make each and every international student wish and desire of working and staying in Canada become a reality.

GET ON THE RIGHT TRACK FOR THE RIGHT RESULTS!

Tony’s Story

I came to Canada in September 2011 as an international student. As any new comer, I felt lost and had no idea of how the system works or what to do. I heard that experience is everything in this country in order to build a better future alongside education. So I thought I should start building my work experience. But the only jobs I could find were a minimum wage jobs. I had to do whatever it takes to have something to put in my resume to get a good job in Canada after I graduate.

Two years later, I graduated and had my degree, but I still had no idea what to do with the degree or how to hunt for a full time career. I had to get a job in order to stay in Canada. I was doing everything I could to stay and work in Canada and become a Permanent Resident (PR).

After 6 months of job hunting I heard about ONTRACK, a recruiting organization that trains and places people into their dream job. Thanks to ONTRACK I landed a job as a Marketing Coordinator at the Vancouver Tourism College. I was grateful that I found a job. But looking at so many devastated and hopeless international students everyday was bothering me. I could feel their struggle and wanted to help make a difference in their lives.

I thought with the cooperation of ONTRACK we could connect international students to local business owners and job opportunities by guiding them through immigration process, while helping them to thrive and prosper in their new home. And that’s when I partnered with Ontrack to put together the Right Track Program, to provide the level of service required to place students in career positions with the opportunity to experience future growth and prosperity.

Real Clients, Real Stories of Getting Ontrack

My first contact with Ontrack was through a friend, who suggested I get some coaching help as I did not have the confidence in myself to acquire a suitable job. I’m so glad I took that step as it changed everything for me. The Ontrack team believed in me and helped me throughout the process. I now fulfill a management position after only a few years of full-time employment.

Meeting with the Ontrack team changed my life. After graduation I was working at Starbucks as a supervisor and knew I wanted more in terms of my career and lifestyle. Then I was provided an opportunity with the help of Ontrack to fulfill a position in sales. That started me on my new career path and I have not looked back. I moved to Toronto for a new experience and now have a great new job with a real estate marketing company.

Wise men talk because they have something to say: fools because they have to say something.

Abundance is not something we acquire: it is something we tune into.

It is time for us to stand up and cheer the doer, the achiever, the one who recognizes the challenge and does something about it.

There are many people who live in a dream world and there are some who face reality: then there are the special few who turn one into the other.

There are two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take credit for the work: please be in the first group as there is less competition there.
